Pre mix nutes?

hey guys! Working on my second grow in soil, 3 gal pots. Fox farms trio nutes.

-2 Northern Light
-2 Pineapple Express
-1 Strawberry Cheesecake
-1 Jack Herer

hopefully all autoflowers. My last grow (Which was my first, 3 photo Jack Herer) started to become too much of a chore than I woulda liked for It to be having to constantly mix nutes for a feed. Can I pre mix my nutes into 5 gallon buckets and just have it for a while or will the nutes lose their punch if not used quickly?

I mix mine in a gallon jug at a time. Never had an issue yet.

I think you can if its properly sealed and have an air bubler in there. You dont want the water to go stagnant.

No problem, as long as you keep it covered and nothing grows in it. Nutes are basically salts. You could mix a gallon, evaporate all the water off, then add a gallon of water and it would be nutes again.

I have premixed nutrients for peat grows for years and from experience they will hold for a day or 2 without an air stone but the pH will drift and will have to be adjusted before using it, and there is always some precipitation, you have to stir vigorously before using them.

If you plan on going more then 2 days an air stone is a must and a recirculating pump would come highly recommended. I personally would not recommend premixing nutrients without an air stone and pump.
