Prince Of Pot Out Of Luck For Hockey Pass

While being royalty may have its advantages, even Vancouver's Prince of Pot couldn't get into the Molson Canadian Hockey House on Sunday to watch Canada do battle with the U.S.

"They ( VANOC ) just don't want the association," said Marc Emery about being denied access to the bustling venue. "They're worried about me being seen beside the athletes."

Emery and his wife, Jodie, were invited to the Hockey House by a CNN reporter who had been interviewing them during the Games. The reporter promised the couple media passes that Emery claims were revoked by VANOC.

Emery said he was later told it was a misunderstanding. He headed to the venue only to be turned down at the door because the Hockey House was full.

A spokesperson for Molson said that to be accredited for the Hockey House, requests should have been made months ago.

"We have our own accreditation policy here," said Marsha Mowers. "We are at capacity every night. We don't accept walkups and CNN was definitely not accredited for ( Sunday ) night."

A VANOC official said the organization has nothing to do with the administration at the Hockey House.

VANOC is always quick to distance themselves from anything negative. As a matter of fact they never tell anyone anything about what they are doing.I can hardly wait to hear how much debt we will be in for the next several decades. As for the Molson hockey house,I don't know anyone that got in for even one night.I did read something about them overselling the venue and pissing off a lot of people. That was a theme of the Vancouver games, overselling and canceling tickets.I doubt they would hesitate to omit Mr.Emery from any guest list but would be happy to blacklist him from any of their venues.Winter Olympics in the Hawaii of Canada, really good move.Snowboarding on Hay just may be a new event.:thumb::peacetwo:

Oh boo hoo. Why the Prince of Pot would care about getting into the Molson tent is anybodies guess.
Considering the massive waste of money why would anyone with any decency want to be seen as a part of the elite.
All I hear is how great Canada did and how many medals they won. Do me a favor and when the final tally comes out on the cost of the games add a few more million on that total for all the money given to these athletes and then take the amount of medals won and divide it.
Now when you get an amount for each medal won you tell me if we got good value for our money. No scratch that. Tell the newly laid off teachers or health care workers or any other family in desperate straits because the government is broke.
