Backers of Proposition 19, the marijuana legalization initiative, have launched an online store where cannabis lovers can purchase merchandise to benefit the campaign.
The items for sale include t-shirts, bumper stickers, mugs, hats and buttons. No, you cannot purchase actual cannabis. For that, go to the newly reopened KFC Pot Shop. All the merch is emblazoned with slogans such as "Yes on 19" and "Yes We Cannabis."
But that's pretty much it. Prop 19 backers need to smoke some weed and brainstorm some creative campaign commercials. Some famous slogans in history that could be altered for the Prop. 19 campaign: "It's morning in America" (Reagan); "Leadership for the 60s" (both Nixon and Kennedy); or, "A chicken in every pot and a car in every garage" (Hoover.)
The prices range from $2.00 for bumper stickers up to $20.00 for t-shirts.
