Seeds in soil germinating, Need Light?

I am germing some seeds in soil in solo cups. Its going on 48 hours. Do I need to put a light on them so the reach for the warmer top soil?

Put them under a dome for added humidity, and stick them in a window. Should take anywhere from 5 to 10 days to see them poke their little heads out. Next time try the paper towel method. Seems to work a little faster for me anyway. Good luck.

Thanks CF. I don't have a humidity dome, so I covered the cups with the plastic wrap you use for food.

I did notice the soil was drying out on the top of the cup. I hope I didn't harm the seeds by letting the soil dry out a bit. I did give the seeds a nice 12 hour soak in PH'd water before planting.
