Hello the citizens of 420

I am on my first grow (autoseed, indoors) and all was going well or still is...
I am in week one of vegging stage and my soil has a white crust (sort of)
on the surface...is this something to worry about? Is it soil ph? Or is it just the top surface of soil drying out and im freaking out about nothing?
There is pics in my gallery..adding new pics asap.

Thanks.

Hi chilly3983.

I glanced at the pics in your gallery, and while I'd like to reserve a final thought for new pictures, I think the white crustiness is just the potting soil drying out.

Be well and happy growing!

Well, I think new pictures that show the whitish crust a little better might be of benefit and I since I don't know your watering schedule I'm not sure I can go so far as to suggest nothing need change. I'm wondering if you know anything about the water your using? In particular I'm wondering if you are using tap or well water that might be high in calcium or lime. I'm wondering out loud if some of what your seeing might be due to hard water?

I think they look good chilly!

my ph levels are rising and no nutes have been added, how can i lower the levels? i am in week 3 of vegging and was about to start it on nutes...should i hold off?
