when you guys have mixed all your perlite, soil, worm castings, etc together, and filled your various pots and containers, how and where do you store your soil leftovers?

i guess what im getting at is im going to mix all my stuff together in a rubbermaid container, afterward there will be some left over, is it ok to just shove a top on it and leave it there? i dont want to foster mold growth and then use it for my plants. thanks

I mix my soil and additives in a 45 gallon or larger rubbermaid container.I open it 2 or 3 times a week and mix.Never had a problem.:peace:

For organic soil, I simply store it in a large container with no top. As long as it is not damp it will not grow mold. In fact, aged soil is even better then soil that is mixed and used immediately. Aging the soil allows beneficial microbes and root fungus (if present) to colonize the soil. :peace:
