Split harvest question

My top buds are ready to be harvested but lower are not. Problem is that I need to dry everything in the same tent the grow is in so I dont have the option to cut the top buds off. Is my better option to cut everything now when the tops are peak ripeness or wait a while the get more of an average throughout?

Some people may call that top shelf bud & the rest lower shelf bud, ya know.....

Depending on taste I'd be more than tempted save the top bud/shelf for vaping or combustion methods.

The lower shelf or pop corn bud could well be decarboxylation to improve THC content for use with edibles
