The Bay County Sheriff's Office confiscated three stuffed animals filled with about $20,000 worth of marijuana and hashish Sunday at a summer home in Panama City Beach.

The duck was loaded with about 2 pounds of highgrade marijuana worth up to $8,000, said Lt. Faith Bell of the Sheriff's Office. Crammed into SpongeBob was about 13 ounces of pressed hashish blocks, and nearly 10 pounds of lowgrade marijuana was found in the frog and duck.

Investigators said a friend of the homeowner drove by the house on Twin Lakes Drive to check on the residence and spotted a box for a 20-inch TV on the front porch. The friend called the owner, who said he was not expecting a package.

The friend opened the box and discovered the carnival-size stuffed animals felt "lumpy," Bell said. After the friend found the drugs inside the animals, he flagged down a passing patrol car, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

The package was mailed through UPS and tracked to Reno, Nev. No arrests have been made, but authorities are investigating, said Ruth Sasser, spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office.

"The package sat there for a few days," Sasser said.

The three types of marijuana in the stuffed animals are different, Bell said.

The high-grade marijuana is in demand on the street and rich with THC, the ingredient that gets people "high," Bell said. The low-grade cannabis is mainly ground-up leaves from the plant, along with stems and stalks, which are low in THC content.

When harvesting marijuana, the "fruit" or "buds" are the most valued part of the plant, Bell said.

"The tighter, stickier and bigger the buds, the better," Bell said. Most of the buds found on SpongeBob were about the size of a nickel, Bell said.

The high-grade marijuana is called hydroponic. It is grown indoors and in fortified water, Bell said. The hashish is mainly a "hippie" drug, and police don't see it often. The 13 ounces of hashish was cut into 2-inch chunks. The street value is about $1,000 an ounce, the release stated.

"They have the same color and texture of bouillon cubes," Bell said.

The frog, duck and SpongeBob SquarePants were stitched back together after the marijuana was put in, but the bear escaped the fate of becoming a drug mule.

"The bear was hanging out with the wrong crowd," Bell said.

I can't remember the price of hash, been a long while since I've come accross any, but $36 a gram seems pretty insane. It better be some kickass, messin' with the Space/Time continum (humm. . .spelling?) kind of shit. . .lol :cheesygrinsmiley:

The guy should learn the definition of the word fruit. Cannabis fruit are the little egg shaped thingies that grow on female plants after the male has had his way.

Here's a guy who will sell you pressed hash for $40 gram and I know it goes for 30/gram min in the Bay Area dispensaries.

Anyway, does anyone else read this story and think someone got paranoid and freaked out?

what the fuck was this guy thinking when he sold himself out of a years worth of nonstop smoking......what a fucking dumbass this is the reason..i hate people who dont smoke weed =] they tend to not think at times
