Thought I lost the whole crop

The harvest moon was shining last night. Got the biggest stickiest buds yet, but the smell was weird and very strong almost chemical. And yes found mold on one bud. That one is isolated for water cure and I'm watching the rest closely. I was wondering aloud about humidity and wife told me it ran about 80%. I have the dehumidifier set at 50% guess I need better air circulation and better communication with the other gardener. The smell is better 12 hours later and more "familiar". Going hempy next, Bi-Polar OCD wife likes to water everyday. (NOW I FIND OUT) If I see any more mold or the smell stops improving I'll drown the whole crop and maybe BHO. At least it wasn't Bud Rot I freaked out at first. Figure the only one with webs in the bud was the first to cut. Tomorrow the growing corner will smell like the pool.

The smell wouldn't go away kinda like stale gasoline. The whole lot is in distilled water now. Glad I read about water curing before I dumped the whole grow. I decided to regenerate the plants and they are taking off!!!! I just keep reading and learning from my mistakes.

When setting up an odor control bucket think of your humidity. A fan blowing on water with chunks of odor control gel is a big humidifier. It killed the smell, but molded the crop and did it fast. I like this strain because it doesn't smell until harvest unless you "play" with it. Everything is smelling better with each change of water.
