Tip burn at 500ppm?

I've seen so many posts saying that people run their GH formulas at 800-1200ppm no problem, no matter if it's the standard bloom schedule from GH's feed chart, lucas formula, modified lucas formula, ect. But when I first started bumping my ppm up from the dilution I was giving to the clones, I ran into tip burn around 450ppm in veg. I've tried to bump it in bloom twice now (they are just starting week four of bloom). I'm at 500ppm and I'm still seeing tip burn(on new growth) and clawing(on old fan leaves). I know a little tip burn isn't a problem, but I'm also 90% sure that it means: stop bumping up the ppm.

~1000HPS- each plant fills out a 3.5x3.5ft light footprint, one plant per light
~20ppm RO water
~4gallon DWC sterile
~Running GH three part, +liquid kool bloom, moab at 30% of the normal rate, bud-xl from house and garden(.4-0-.2), yucca extract, h2o2
~pH 5.8 rises to 6.2 over a 24hr period
~each plant drinks about a gallon of water per day
~each day I take out 50% of the water that's left and then fill the res back up to the right level with fresh fuel
~temp 62night/75day
~humidity 60%night/35-45%day

Any ideas as to why it seems like I'm burning my plants when I'm running such a low ppm
