holy shit that impressive.iam also not sure on the root bound theory,at my local garden center they have trees in smaller plots that u would think.but i supose best to be safe.

I won't hurt to cut the side of one of them and look. If they are ok, tape it up and leave it. I made my decision based on the size of the main stem and the size of the buds. I think the plant has a lot of potential that it may not see without being repotted, but I could be wrong.

Just give them a normal watering and 1/2 str nutes after transplant and they will be fine.
