Neb. - A traffic stop along Interstate 80 on Monday led to the confiscation of 42 pounds of marijuana wrapped up to look like Christmas gifts.
The Nebraska State Patrol said a trooper spotted a pickup truck following too close to another vehicle just east of the Lincoln Airport interchange around 12:30 p.m. During the traffic stop, a patrol K-9 unit picked up the odor or marijuana and that led investigators to several gift wrapped boxes containing pot in the bed of the pickup.
Investigators said it was the third time this month that the patrol has confiscated pot wrapped in holiday paper.
Two men from California were arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
