turning on the extra 1000 watt at the right time

I have (2) 600 watt HPS and (1) 1000 watt HPS..
When would you turn on the 1000 watt? I currently have the 2 600s running as I am into the first week of flower.
My guess would be, to turn all three on 3-4 weeks into flower. Right?

Oh, and a quick ? about trimming the lower leaves.
Should I keep the lower leaves? I mean they're not restricting light to any tops, so I assume they are doing some good. Right?

like I said as long as environment is good(heat/air) and they are not burning,blast them with all you can

nice size of space 4x8 = 32sqft.... as a rule 50wtpsqft, and thats a min of 1600wt,,,with them all on you will have 2600wt or 81wtpsqft

thats sweet shit,and if you would have ran them from the beginning,(depending on plants and layout)you could have had an extra 3/4 lbs or so
