This is my first grow since the 80's....
Holybatshit how times have changed... Back in 85 I didn't know s*** and I still don't. Had to go to the library in the big city to get a book on how to grow and there was only one... Now I'm having so much fun learning from all of you...
Oh btw, any critique I am all for it... Please learn me!

So, I was given some sweet gg4 seeds from a hermie plant than came from (me thinks) Colo.

6/14 I sprouted 10 seeds in a cocktail napkin.. Don't ask
I didn't intend on this grow to happen, but I'm all in now... Had a rocky start as a few tap roots grew into the napkin... ***(Won't make that error again.)

6/16 From sprouts to rapid grow 3" pots in a 2X4 tent with agri-grow t5 24 hour light... Yay me...! And this started my new addiction to growing...
***(I'll never do rapid grow pots again as transplanting does too much damage to the roots.. I know supposed to plant in the pots but I didn't like that idea.)

6/27 I planted the 9 in 2gal smart pots in Roots organic orig... 4 of the 9 went crazy and grew faster than anything I expected. Still 24 hour light..
No nutes yet... ***(Mistake)
Had some leaf issues that I believe could've been corrected with nutes...

7/12 I moved 5 of the big healthy ones to 5gal smart pots in Fox Farms goodness, and cut light to 18/6
After a couple days fed them sensi bloom a,b, and sensi-cal Xtra mag. Growth was explosive, and oh did these smell good in veg...

BTW, I'm on filtered well water @ ph 6.6-7.1... (Run off is 5.4-5.7...)

7/17 Big 4 are now in flower in 4X4 tent with Sunsystem 315w Ushio 3k bulb now 12/12...
Want HLG LEDs but I can't afford it right now..
Back in the day I used 1000w halides but had bigger space to light.

I was a little late on training techniques but I thought I'd try some of them supercrop, topping, and one with nothing.. I really don't know what I'm doing, but learning all the time.. ***(probably could've waited to flower, but not knowing how tall these would get in flower I didn't want to outgrow my space...)
I want to try manifolding next...

7/18 6 clones taken...
7/20 Only a few signs of sex so far...

Other stuff... When I clean the tents they go outside or nice windy sunny day they sunbathe.. They liked the thunderstorms we had recently as well...
When I bring them in I inspect each one for any kind of bug..
Yes, I'm paranoid I've had spider mites before, and they literally-suck..
I have no water/feeding schedule except day after watering is when I nute..

Anyway, thanks in advance for any tips tricks advise, be cool..
The original,
Wharf Rat

Things look good.

I was given some sweet gg4 seeds from a hermie plant than came from (me thinks) Colo.

I hope that was a couple opposite-sex flowers caused by severe stress and not the result of an actual
hermaphrodite. I've read of a higher than average incidence of the latter in that strain.

Best of luck with your grow!

Yes, I've heard the same thing... All I can say is, I'm having an absolute blast and learning a ton in the process... I've got 30 years of catching up to do, and if you don't try you don't learn...
