What does one do with a stretched seedling?

I've managed to stretch a seedling to about 6 inches. It's in a rockwoll cube.
I want to plant the seedling in soil, but I wonder if I should plant it a inch or two deeper than I normally would?

Thoughts?

what type of light and how close is it to the seedling? Sounds like wrong spectrum and/or light is too far away.

You could transplant and sink it an inch or 2 deeper into the soil. But you need to address the cause of the stretch.

Thanks for the quick info.
I caused the problem myself with improper lighting.
I was just wanting to make sure I could sink it down in the soil a bit more to make up for the stretching.
On a side note... I was just shocked and amazed at how quickly the stretching occured. I'm also amazed that a little seed had enough strored energy to create a 6 inch seedling.
