What is "middies"?

I was just wondering what middies was and if there was like a "middies" seed or is it just a different strain that was grown under very bad conditions.

50 a 1/4 for mid's round here!
So some "Middie" seeds could be garbage or bagseed gold .

Mids around here run 100 1/2oz. The def. i use is dro/medical/sinsimilla<-(sory about the spelling) that got F**ked. Might find maybe 10 seeds in a half. Mids really aren't a bad thing but their really not fine dro either.
