No there is no way to tell just by looking at the seed.

You need to know the strain from tour buddy or his buddy or his buddy lol

Just grow it and see how it smokes.

Maybe by trying to match what it looks like to many other strains pictures and that can take hrs of looking and also guessing.

So its hard to do unless someone else says hey that looks like this or that strain.
