What's causing this to happen?

Hey everyone, these two plants have been in flower for around 6 weeks . They are both Mother of Berries. I use General Hydroponics nutrients going by the Lucas method. In the past few days I have been noticing a few brownish/purple spots appearing on some of the smaller leaves around the buds. I keep my 600hps at a good distance ( about 2.5 feet above the tops ) and it's happening lower down on the plant too so I don't think it's light burn and my tent rarely gets over 75 degrees so I also don't think it's heat stress related. I'm thinking maybe a deficiency of some sort ? Or is this normal and the plant is just finishing up? This is my first "actual" attempt at growing so I really appreciate any input or advice anyone has for me. Thanks in advance .

The pots that I am using are 5 gallon . I have yet to test the ph of any runoff . The water I use to feed them with comes out of the tap with ph levels right around 6.0 . I just watered them both yesterday so it will be at least another week before I'm able to water again and test any runoff . It's probably something I should have looked into awhile ago but hadn't thought to. Thanks

i also use the general hydroponics line 3 part. But "full line" includes CALiMAGic by gh and a few others. Imho what I'm seeing on your plants is a calcium or magnesium deficiency. Good luck brother!! Keep em green #global420

I had thought I was possibly looking at a Cal/ Mag deficiency. I will definitely look more into it. Thanks for the reply any input is much appreciated.

I agree with this ^^ Btw on another note that is too far away for your light. Especially during full flower. Just my opinion

If you're starting with water that is ph'd at 6, that's your problem, pretty sure of you tested runoff, your medium PH would be very close to 5. Not paying enough attention to ph is what my problem was also. :)

After doing a little research and pulling out a measuring tape, I dropped my light a few inches. I definitely think you were right about having it to far away from the plants . Thanks for the help I really appreciate it. Hopefully I don't cook them ..

Thanks for everyone's input . I'm pretty sure the plants are coming back around nicely. We'll see in the next couple of days...these two buds took whatever it was that happened the worst.
