When to add red spec

well I'm preparing to start my next glow and I'm looking to upgrade to a perpetual grow over this crop. I'm going to be picking up a red spec 3000k spec light to boost flowering.

In the mean time I've got Mars hydro 2x sp250 and a tsw 2000.

My question is when should I start supplementing in red spec lighting. A couple weeks before flowering, just at start of flowering. or a little after stretch to try and keep the girls short. Overall my flowering tent will consist of the 250w budget 3000k spec light and 2 sp250 in a 4x4 space. I know overkill but thats my style.

Yes that's what I was feeling, I've been doing alot of research on light spec, ill have to do some practice to see how the red spec affects bud sites as ill have the 2 sp250s running along side them for the ir and blue spec

I usually run veg and flower lights start to finish.

700w + for seedlings is a bit excessive imo
