ok im a i correct on this info? i just read there is a either 1 cfl that puts out 42 watts=150 watts hps?if so would 2 or 3 of these be good for budding?
Flouros are capable of the same spectrums (color) but not the Lumens (amount of light created by the lamp) You can start plants with flouros, even bud a small amount, if done correctly, but if you want any real size and growth you'll need something more intense than flouros. If temprature and energy consumption is an issue, use Flouros, just grow, alot of small plants, instead of a couple of large plants.
I grew using a 430 watt Son-agro, in a 7'x3'x2' closet. The son-agro bulb runs much cooler than most standard HPS, and can be used for all stages of growth.
