Australia: Two Men Charged After Cannabis Plants Seized From Tennant Creek Backyard

Two men have been charged with drug offences after 27 cannabis plants were found growing in a Tennant Creek backyard.

The plants, which were at various stages of growth, were seized by police with a further 250g of cannabis plant material after a search warrant was executed.

Two men aged 45 and 55 were charged with cultivating cannabis (commercial quantity) and possessing a dangerous drug (trafficable quantity).

They were remanded in custody to appear in Alice Springs Local Court today.
