Adding Tincture To Wine

Today, I added a tincture to a batch of wine (mead, actually) and it created an unusual cloud (see photos). This happened the first time I made such a mead.

After mixing everything up last time, I let it sit for a week before running it through a plate filter. I used coarse filter pads in fear of catching too much THC in them.

Has anyone done similar? How tight of a filter pad can I use? The best ones I have are .5 microns.

It hits you pretty fast. The THC and the alcohol make a nice combination one-two punch. Keep in mind, the first time I did this, the weed was in eleven ounces of 151, so that raised the abv quite a bit. This time, I reduced it down to about three ounces.
