BT'z 2nd Grow: Super Lemon Haze & Golden Leaf

Sparkly and clear just like they should be! Nice pics BT :thumb:. What brand scope did you get?

It was another one of those offshore products. Paid under $40. It came with a disk with driver on it. It has a small stand with an adjustable mount.

Success with my Master Cropping Clone cutting. Well at least partial. I took a couple of cuttings a couple of weeks ago from my flowering GrapeApe and then moved them with their Root Riots into the 32oz Stadium cups I use for initial veg. One has actually shown that it hit bottom and is now drinking from the reservoir.
Will call this GrapeApe 1.1
I'm going to give this one a day of two more and then remove the original dark green small fans that came with the original cutting as they seem to be a bit useless at this point.

The other is still working it's way down I assume. Will call this one GrapeApe 1.2
Here again the original fans have some discoloration and will be removed once this plant hits the reservoir and starts performing like the GrapeApe 1.1

A big thanks going out to @InTheShed for giving me the initial info and answer to my question regarding taking a clone from a flowering plant. It is appearing to be working and will hopefully give me a couple additional plants from the original GrapeApe currently in the flower tent. Who know perhaps another once or two later on at the very least???

Today is Day 67 since the SLH and Gilda went into 12/12 flowering light schedule. According to 420 both should be done. I'm not exactly seeing the cloudy trichcomes I'd like to be seeing. I hope tomorrow I can drag the computer and microscope video camera down to the grow tent area and see if I can do some close up pictures.

Regardless, It's been quite a while since I posted any pictures so I thought I would share some bud porn. The branches are getting heavy and begging to sag off to the side a little. Additionally the buds are all looking similar to these included here. Thickening up nicely some are double a Bic lighter size. I'm feeling like they are really getting close. Hopefully closer inspection will reveal what I'm looking for. In the mean time is time to prep the Clone Tote box and turn it into a drying box. I also need to make a final selection of the clones I intend to keep and cull the rest. Then transfer into the larger baskets. I'm thinking of doing that at harvest time of the others so I can reuse the existing baskets. I might be able to reuse some of the Hempy mix also.

Almost 10 weeks from flip..should be seeing some clouds by now!
:yummy:Beautiful colas! :drool:Can hardly wait to smell them!

One would think. I was down with the loop this morning and looked at several colas tops on the three of them. Still looking clear from my perspective. Then again I never saw cloudy much less amber on Rey my first grow either. Could be I don't know what to look for even though I have looked at so many pictures on the subject.

I feel we are going to have a nice harvest time together when you get here next week. Many hands make short work of big jobs. They do smell awesome for sure, but not too strong at this time.:passitleft:

Officially over the 10week point since the flip. Waiting for FelipeBlu to arrive this coming Tuesday. Will evaluate harvest and hopefully go forward to harvesting on Wednesday.

However the good news is last night during lights on I scoped with the loop and found multiple girls with some emerging amber. I guess I still need to work on my cloudy recognition skills. There isn't much but I figure any present requires a move towards harvesting.

Here's their last picture under the flowering light. Moved this AM to the Veg Tent and darkness for the next 3days.
Replacing them in the Flowering tent are the clones. I still have two new GrapeApes still in the Clone Box but they have been topped and will join their sisters soon.

I'm feeling there is some minor nutrient deficiencies and I'm hoping to make an adjustment before I make the switch to 12/12. Part of that might be the size of their containers and they run low on water and feed quickly each day. Will be moving them into the larger buckets over the next few days. I'm going to start a new journal for the clones with a day count starting from day of the light schedule change.

They do look a little pale and the tops look droopy. Have you calibrated your pH meter lately?
Yes, just this last week after finding it was reading a bit higher than actual. I have been attempting to adjust my nutrient levels to get it balanced back up to 6.0 for the hempy. I went ahead and purchased some calibration liquid so I can check a bit more often. Also learned that I'm supposed to keep the electrode slightly wet at all times when the cap is on, so I bought the storage liquid also. Ah, the money pit of growing.

Good Sunday Morning! A few days of quiet over here in the BTzGrow grow. Had a major family function that has required a quite a bit of attention over the last few days. It did involve @FelipeBlu coming down to San Diego for a week, so we have been having fun. sharing much of our please of growing and it's fruitful benefit.

First, this last Tuesday evening with his arrival a harvesting of all of the ladies who were currently in the flowering tent was performed. The two Super Lemon Haze, two Gold Leaf, and a GrapeApe. The harvesting was agreed upon because there was evidence of some Amber on some of the colas of all the plants. I had also already moved then into the darkness of the veg tent as per the previous post.

FelipeBlu agreed that the Amber was present, and found that I had been correct in not seeing very much if any cloudy trichs leading up to my initial find last weekend when I made the immediate decision to move them in prep for harvest.

So, pictures from the harvest follow.
Long and Tall and not much yield was GrapeApe
Followed by Goldie who was the tallest of the Golden Girls and had 6 primary branches.
Gilda with 4 branches
Sheila of the SLH with 6 branches
Stella with 4 branches and the tallest of the SLH

I'm looking forward to confirming some thoughts regarding yield based on branch numbers of the plants. The yield will be better confirmed with the dry weight measurement.

The harvest looked like this after it was done. A tent full of branches and lovely colas.

Really love the drying racks that Dr.Doob shared from his experience and I had used with my previous grow successfully. I had bought two of my own from my last harvest and they continue to provide give plenty of space in a 2x2tent for lots of plants to dry.

From Left to right was GrapeApe the longest, Sheila, Stella, Goldie, and Gilda.

After the harvest, there was an opportunity to have a bit of a Trim Party or as @DrDoob called it Trim Jail. I had at the last moment invited him to join us to meet @FelipeBlu and hoped that many hands would make fast work. He was able to join us on Wednesday afternoon and we enjoyed a great conversation over the 2.5hours we sat outside under a canopy on the back patio trimming, chatting about many subjects of homegrown herb and passing the occasional bong around with previously harvested Rey. An extremely enjoyable afternoon that made the trimming experience super easy.

I did send the good Doctor home with a nice gift of buds from Rey my first grow and a great smooth smoke. I'm sure he will have some more in his future from this harvest also.

Just a note, this was a wet trim and there are several bags of the trim in the Refrigerator waiting to have a bubble hash ice experience with. Never done that before and looking forward the experiment.

Had great fun hanging out and trimming. Btw the “NEW” thing with the Lyft was because it was a new car without a license plate not a new driver thank goodness. He was actually super cool, I gave him a nug of your Rey as a tip and he decided he was done driving for the day.
