Update On the bagseed. She’s slowly growing and looks rough but she isn’t dead yet haha got some funny looking leaves on some of the bud sites

She has a strong citrus smell with a hint of diesel and cheese. I love it.

I’d just like to comment that you’re not doing your girl any favors by covering up diodes on your panel. She needs blue light in flower too. If my memory serves, blue spectrum drives oil production in flower. Your girl looks great though

@ChefDGreen i didn’t cover all. Just most. Also using a 3500k with bloom boosters as well. The blurple light I covered most the blue cause I’m utilizing mostly as a bloom booster. I’m sure she’s still getting blue light from the cob/bloom booster that’s built into it.

@shottafire chexk out my c99 journal. They’re about 2 weeks now and skate or die haha

Did you ever get any clones off of her?

yeah, with led’s it’s best to have all the chips showing, because it’s a full spectrum light. My apologies I didn’t clue in till now. I thought you were talking about a blue light like this.

I had a blue light above my snakeheads fish tank, it was beautiful. Sorry I thought that’s the light you were talking about!

There’s a link to his journal if anyone here wants to follow as well!

Well I looked at it earlier when I was thinking about it and it seemed the diodes got hot enough slowly melt holes in the tape lol it’s full open now

I’m in a 4x4 with 220w draw but the lights are about 10” above the plant and the plant is roughly 16” across. Maybe 18 and I know your gonna say something about a minimum 35-50w per sq ft. But that’s not really a good way of judging. 50w of an hps isn’t equivalent to a 50w Lm301h or even lm561h. I believe the cob is a cxb 3070 and the blurple is all epistar diodes. I will have a par meter in a few weeks when I switch to the big 300w draw lights.
There are lights out now that pull 3+umol/j I’d say the blurple is about 1.7 and the cob maybe closer to 2. Not 100% on the 3070 it could be a dif cob. Either way I won’t be using either after this bag seed. I’ll be giving them to a buddy

New lights are 300w draw 4000k. But I plan to replace the strips with LM301H strips with 660/730nm and maybe a uva/b led strip. The 4000k lights I believe are capable of around 550w draw. Not sure of the size of driver

May just toss it in the tent. What u guys think? 4000k too high for flower?

I’ve seen some people run 4000k For full cycle. I’m still making my mind on what temp to get the Lm301h strips. Been thinking about 2700k Lm301h with lm561h 6500k on separate drivers and dimmers. Would love to learn to control the lights with a raspberry pi so I could control the lights automatically with dimming when they come on and go off. Would be cool to transition the spectrum from 6500k for let’s say first 2 weeks and 5000k for veg, and 4000k when transitioning into flower and first 4 weeks at 3000k and last 4+ at 2700k I’ll need to get a light spectrometer but I found a place I can rent one for about 250 a week. Also found some cheap ones on Alibaba, I’ve also seen some diy build that are “reasonably” accurate . Not for commercial purposes but general home use. Just some ideas. I’ll start buying in a few weeks. For now it is property tax time lol I will start a thread for the build as well
