Mono Grows Again

This evening was a battle to tame the flowering tent, somewhat atleast.

I removed the last flowering critical hog, harvest will be done tomorrow.

The main issue was getting the big mother of berries under control.

I opened the big plant up and tried to train her more into a rectangular shape to free up the other half of the tent. A little super cropping to bring the middle of the plant level.

I managed to move the red dragon and purple #1 back into the tent and also added a critical hog clone to begin flowering.

All the big plants I’ve grown have been done in 37 litres of coco, using fabric pots.

I’m thinking of using either a 27 litre or 17 litre pot for the next big plant, in the hope of running quicker wet and dry cycles.

I’m tempted to go 17 litres, but I have this nagging feeling that it won’t produce a big enough root zone to support such a large plant ...

Red dragon is kicking into flowering mode now, and we have little buds forming on the big mother of berries.

Red dragon.

I love them at this age, by far the best part of the grow for me. My Jack herer is about the same age.

I'd go with 27ltr

I think I agree with ya bud.

When I used the 50litre pot it was rather excessive for feeding daily if I left it it took a week to dry out the pot. The 37 litre is a bit better, but still 3 days to dry the pot if left.

I suppose the logical step would be to drop it down to the 27 litre and see how that runs.

I do like the sound of a 17 litre pot running a recirculating drip feed, though.

I run coco so feed daily in veg and usually twice a day once flowering actually begins. The 10 gallon soft pots I run this past summer was the shizz for bigger plants.
