My First Grow Ever & Outdoor

Good deal on the upcan 6 days ago, she should be ok for couple weeks. I ran a photoperiod indoors in a 5 gallon, got halfway thru flower then she started to run out of steam. I swapped into 16 gallon and she finished up well. Roots do their growing in veg cycle but in flower cycle you use the roots you have built.

Anyway let these outdoor experts guide you on in especially with regards to upcanning and timing the flip etc.. Crap now I’m jealous of all that free sunlight & the whole growing outdoors thang!!

Looking at plants tonight kinda worried bottom of stem is way smaller then upper portion of plant seem normal or something wrong ? I put a brace try and keep from falling over .... any input or advice appreciated
also the clone getting transplanted this weekend to the 20 gallon smart pot

Ok here we are the morning of day 23 ! Start of week 4 things are alive and well! The 2 durpan poison autoflowers seem to be taking off now, but I was looking back at the page I bought the seeds from I noticed some strains said feminized auto and some just said auto the ones I got just said auto now I'm worried so I keep checking daily for signs of sex ! I'd hate to of wasted all this time on these ,hopefully I'm dealing with 2 females !

The GSC clone seems to be adjusting fine to the 20 gallon smart pot , I'll problay add a cage of some sort in few weeks to later tie branches down dont want the height getting out of control

Day 31 update
just over 4 weeks really like the way way the auto is taking off and shaping in up guess I should be expecting to be flowering really soon from what I've been reading, in week 5 to 6 they start to flower and done between 10 and 12

And the photo period Girl scout cookies clone is doing really good too starting to branch alot underneath so I'll bee needing cage soon to start some training, also thinking maybe I'll be grabbing another plant this week to throw out with her for the long haul all the way to October

Hey RF!

What’s going on?

Your plants have grown in very well, you have done a heck of a bang up job on keeping them super healthy!!! Wow you are halfway there on the auto flower, yes sir that’s impressive!

Don’t quote me on this & hopefully another 420 member can confirm or deny this tidbit but I think kelp & silica both can be used in your soil mix to help outdoor plants cope with heat. One can always make a spike in soil to add ingredients but it’s best done when added to the soil mix or added when up canning or transplanting a plant

In first photo I saw one fan leaf has been chewed by a critter. I’ve never done an outdoor grow but you can treat with products to reduce or eliminate insect attack. There is a natural occurring bacteria called BT bacillus thuringiesnis - it is a systemic deterrent (makes plant taste bad / makes pests sick) and not so much a toxic poison. It may also be wise to head over to the outdoor growers thread and read up there. Click or tap on Grow in the menu bar, click Growers Forums then Outdoor Growers

As always - do your own research independently and follow manufactures recommendations for application and safe handling guidelines on the BT.

Yes I started last week with neem oil little bit of dawn and water in a sprayer ! Doing every 3 days for two weeks then once a week after that see how it goes
