Hello again fellow growers. It's been a while since I posted a journal on here. I hope all your gardens are green .
I've been growing DWC for almost 5 years now and got the itch to go perpetual.
I've been kicking around the idea of using one of these 20 site cloners to go from fresh cut clone to fully flowered bud.
If it works I'll stagger multiple cloners to get my perpetual garden.
First I want to see what kind of yield I can expect before investing in multiple cloning stations.
So here I shall test my concept and see what kinds of nugs we can get from a single 20 site cloner.
If I can pull 1/4oz or bigger colas it will be worth it in the end.
Mother plant is an OG Cheese grown from seed in a 3x3 tent, 5 gallon DWC and lit by a 600w reflector series Vipar LED light (260w at the killawatt meter)
Fed by Humbolts Secret base nutes, some Great White and calmag.
Shes a big girl so taking 20 cuttings at a time is easy peasy.
Been vegging for about 8 weeks now.
I am using a hydrofarm OxyClone 20 site cloner.
I ditched the tiny air pump and air stone it came with. I added two 4 inch air stones hooked up to a huge pump. Serious overkill on the bubbly. I love the hemispherical stones. They sit flat on the bottom and don't move around.
The Light I'm using in my flower room is a Full spectrum COB LED 1800w advertised (600w pull at the wall). Has switchable veg/bloom modes.
I took 20 cuttings last weekend and put them in the cloner. I did not use a humidity dome but I did spray them down twice a day for the first three days. Roots started to appear after 5 days. To this point 19/20 have rooted and I'm confident the last one will root as well eventually.
So nine days after taking the cuttings and letting them root & recover I flipped to flower.
Flower day #1
I'm shooting for at least a 1/4 oz dried & cured per site. I can run four of these oxyclone units under my light easily. So if this works I should have a badass lil perpetual garden.
