Reaf's 4000W Mixed Medical Grow

Hi guys
Thought I would share an idea between updates. I have been having a problem with the water in my bubble cloner getting way to hot here in the summer months, hitting 29 degrees. I found the main problem with this is the rot that quickly sets in at that temp. Now I didn't want to go though the expense of a water chiller just for the bubbler. I started bouncing an idea around in my head to diy a water cooler. I had a few peltier thermal chips around and am lucky enough to have a close friend in the pc bussiness that I could get parts from. I engineered a water block with pc heat sinks and a piece of aluminium channel I had . I used 3 chips but that was overkill , I am currently only running one chip on the rig .

This water cooler works really well and am managing a constant 21 degrees in the bubbler which is perfect.

In the first quick vid you will see the inverted heat sinks that split the water up nicely and gives the water based lot of surface space to cool on .

In the second vid it's just with the unit running . I can do a better description if anyone is interested, may be handy for the hydro guys

That's for damn sure. Without AC, it is almost impossible to grow decent plants in this heat.
Wow, you and I seem to have opposite problems. I have a hard time keeping my tent over 60 f during the day. Never gets to 70 at night with tent on either. But it's winter here, we'll see what happens in the spring and summer.

Cheers

We regularly see 95 here in summer, and summer lasts a long time. Without AC, the temp in the tent would easily hit 104 no problem.

In the last 10 years we went from being a country with some of the cheapest power in the world, to one of the most expensive.

Well, your garden looks great. And you are set up for success.

Cheers

Update time: day 8

Been a quiet week for the ladies , they have been left to do there thing. Tomorrow they get watered or the first time and will just get a molasses watering. As well as water they will also have the lower rubbish taken off . Tomorrow I will also put branch clips on all the branches where the attach to the main stem to stop them snapping off in late flower , I will post pics when I am done.

Here a few pics so long and will post a few more once the ladies have been cleaned up. I managed to get a few pics with the light off

Every single one of those plants look healthy and happy. Impressive. One of the benefits of running strains you know are stable and easier to work with.

How long have you been running that Northern Vision (pink sweety strain) now?

Northern vision is the oldest strain I have , must be 5 or 6 years I have been running the same mother. Its still my favourite strain to smoke , medium to high thc with a nice dash of cbd to round it off , on this pheno you can definitely smell it's skunk heritage as it's also the smelliest strain I have .

One of the best tasting strains I've ever sampled as well. One of those strains that just flies under the radar, and then drops a bomb on your head.

Flower Day 15
Things are ticking away nicely and are right on shedule. The major stretch has stopped and they have now starting to pack on some weight. Crystals showed up 2 days early and where showing on day 13 already. They have been fed a mix of aact , fulvic acids amino acids and biogrow and biobloom to give it an extra little kick to help those buds put on weight. Temps have been a little high this week but nothing to get stressed about.

I have started taking the very bottom leaves and slow growing branches off , a little every few days to not cause stress

I I will let my pics speak for the ladies happiness level but I am happy with the progress so far. If anyone sees how I can improve things please let me know, can never stop learning

Internode spacing is ideal, great job in vegging. Looks like you will get a great pull if all goes well.

Reaf knows his shit. If I run into a problem, he is normally the first person I turn to.

Looking good brother.
