Share your ways to increase resin production

I took the pic of the shafted male this morning. It's dark now. The boy still looks strong & healthy, it's like i didn't even do anything to it.
Starting to think that this stem splitting is done just before harvest to avoid potential hermy-ing in the last weeks of flower. I might be spectacularly wrong, but i don't think it's going to die. It's going to make me chop it.
 
I usually chop the males as soon as they sex as male. Does anyone know how males react when stressed?

Girls going into darkness tonight (i want to dry the soil a bit more, 2 had a molasses feed this morning.
These two share a pot, so they both got doused with molasses:

My pre 98 Autoflower will be done Sunday and then I will put it into three days of darkness cut it down Wednesday put it in refrigerator and start drying process

No it's not a competition I just thought it was very funny that you were pretty much harvesting the same time I am this is only my fourth Auto of the year most of mine are photos this one was dropped off at my doorstep 14 weeks ago it was just a little tiny baby when I got it

Yeah, it's fun....
Just harvesting bits and bobs, the winter grow really screwed with my perceptions. Loads of small plants (1-2' adult), single colas....
I'm not complaining, after all, it's weed , just not used to how fussy 20+ tiny plants could be...
 
That just means when we're done we can both start pulling them out of the jars at the same time and smoking it and it'll be real good

How does black ops do with feminized seeds? Are they one of the strains that you can only do regular seeds with?
(I know you like male plant genetics, just thought that IF the uncle is an auntie, could you spray a branch for breeding? Or too much of a gamble?)
 
Yes I could always feminize it but I would not get as good of genetics out of it this would not make it eliminated from chances of me doing it it just wouldn't make it the next one down the line after a couple of my favorites because he there is several ways to breed your plants especially for feminized seeds I will give you a few examples taking a branch and crushing it every time you go outside once a day sometimes twice a day the entire time it's trying to grow but this will stress the plant and cause that one branch to grow bananas or pollen sacs then you when these mature you can use them to pollinate the self plant or another plant if you don't want to do it that way colloidal silver is another option you can spray this on a branch that is flowering for 2 to 3 weeks in the hope to get female flowers to pop open and then my favorite trick in the book is I like to let my flowers run over the time that they are supposed to run they will go ahead and pop little pollen sacs in order for their last survival when they pop these last pollen sacs I will collect the pollen and pollinate another branch of another tree and then when I pull it all down it won't be a whole lot of THC in it left but it will be really Stoney just a few of my ways that I can do it I even have a way to do it with Tylenol but I keep that tylenol at the bottom of my bag of tricks so you can't find it

But on another note I also have a Aurora indica seed that is regular I thought about popping and I have DJ Short Flo seeds regular I thought about trying to get males out of those two let me know what you think and yes I am pretty high right now I may not be making a lot of sense but you know this
 
I got the fact that you're sometimes (always) high from your screen name. It wasn't a mystery.
Everyonea brain functions differently for lots of reasons. There really is no such thing as normal, so it follows that there can't be a normal anything. Anyway, you make a lot of sense even if you're high. My early harvest daytime smoke sativas works better for my ADHD than ritalin ever did, and i don't feel stoned. I think weed just clears away a lot of the useless little voices in peoples' heads, making them more sane and clearer thinking. Just a thought i had on some sweet Durban green...

What are you trying to cross the black ops with again? (I forget, pre 98 Bubba Kush?). If the black ops is a girl, can't you pollinate the other way around? Unless the (?) is the more stable of the 2 strains, then male BO makes sense.
 
Update on the stabbed male:
August is rather windy here, so no idea if the poor thing is succumbing to its fatal (i thought) wound, or if it just got blown over last night.

My pre 98 Bubba Kush is very stable I only have one seed of the Black Ops so anyway it goes I will find a way to pollinate it I am getting ready to start a few new strains and get rid of a few really old ones that I've been running
