Soil advice

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question , so I purchased pro mix soil bags 18L , when I poured it into my 5 gallon pot I noticed that there is alot of soil left in the bag, should I be packing the soil down or just leave it loose how it pours out the bag?

Don't pack it down, when you water it does that enough on it's own and the roots grow better when it not packed down as easier for them to do their thing.
