Hey guys. So I’m about to go to Lowe’s to buy the soil for my first grow. Someone had told me about black magic, but I don’t believe my Lowe’s carries that. So, I’m not looking for anything fancy or super crazy, so whattya guys recommend for just a bag of soil that’s pretty much ready to go? I’ll add some perlite but other than that I don’t wanna mix any crazy recipes up

Miracle gro makes an organic potting soil with minimal "junk" in it. Comes in a black bag with gold writing.

Might wanna grab a bag of perlite too. Some of those soils can retain too much water. Perlite will help you dial that it.

Bout the best you can do from the "big box" stores, but it'll do the trick.

@MrSauga has a few successful grows with it.

Lowe's used to/might still carry Gardner&Bloome soil, which rivals Fox Farm, at a fraction of the cost.

... a lot of lowe's carry promix...either HP or BX...the latter would need perlite...some use HP as is, or you could add some EWC's or quality compost...cheerz...h00k... ...
