What do I trim?

Hi I have a nice plant that is ready to harvest and I want to wet trim but unsure of how close to the bud I can trim do I trim every single leaf off of it or do I leave some tiny bits of leaf

Welcome to 420..! Take off the fan leaves, fan leaves are the biggest leaves and have a stem on them, your pic looks as if you are going to trim off the sugar leaves. No need to chop sugar leaves off... the sugar leaves appear to attach directly to the buds without having a stem on them

to recap cut the fan leaves they are kinda harsh to smoke but keep the sugar leaves - they are good stuff.

For bud I’m keeping for my own stash I don’t trim super close. Sugar leaves have a lot of trichomes.

I do a hard trim because anything left becomes bubble hash , pressed, extracted or used in some way ! I dont think there is a wrong answer ..congrats on the harvest

Thank you I was definitely trimming the sugar leaves off so when I harvest the rest I’ll leave them on.

It's really personal preference.. some people trim off sugar leaves and keep them for hash, rosin or canna butter ect. If your just smoking it, then it's best to keep them as the sugar leaves are loaded with the good stuff.

100% tho take off the larger fan leaves.

Trim up a few buds n see the comparison once product is dry... but like stated earlier, no wrong answer here

I find it harder to trim wet. That and I dont like my buds to have a flat side from lying in a drying rack so I hang the plant up and take off the fan leaves and let it dry then trim after its dry.

Key is to know when they are dry enough for trimming. Over drying you can ruin the harvest.
