I feel your pain. I too have PTSD. I was diagnosed in 1991 after a volcano eruption situation. I recieved treatment starting in 1997. Lived the nightmares and the drugs to stop them. Prescribed morphine at one time, gained 40 lbs - I weigh 140 normally. Constipation and other side effects. Switched to marijuana and vicodin. A narcotic, but less not as string as morphne, lost 40 lbs got life back. Obama administration allows marijuana and vicodin but some VA doctors still do not approve and will deny medication when a vet is using marijuana with state approval. That issue is being looked at in Arizona but I would believe it is VA wide. Things will change, keep goin man, I feel your pain, literally.

Thank you for your understanding JOHNNYA, it means a lot. I am sorry that you have PTSD as well, a volcano has to be as bad,and in some cases worse than combat! I feel for you! At least you get to smoke Cannabis on a, I presume, regular basis. I hope that time will lessen your trauma, and with time, gain the wisdom from the events that are plaguing you, so they do not trouble you any longer. I have done neither of the things I am hoping happen for you, but I am,can, and still am trying to work through some(ALL) of these things. Maybe someday we will reach that pinnacle of understanding, have an epiphany, and God willing, be all right, and have learned a ton of Wisdom along the way. I think that is all we can really hope for. SINCERELY, JAMESTHEGREEN.

The acceptance and understanding of MMJ is increasing. In uniform it will be a problem. When you seperate from active duty it will be much better. Find strains that work on different problems you have. I use something for sleep, energy, pain etc. Some strains say they are not for medicinal application, find what works and grow it if allowed. Unfortunately, PTSD doesn't go away but there are ways you can lessen it's effects. MMJ is not a silver bullet but it is the closest thing there is non-narcotic that will provide limited relief for multiple ailments. Put those papers in and enjoy what life can provide post ptsd.

Aloha JTG, I just wanted to say hi and hope all is well with you and your wife. I finally found this post so I now know what you are going through with your health. All I can say is, Thank You. Thank you for being a part of this great country's military. I come from a military family. father was a Marine, mother was in the Navy, brother was in the Army and my husband was in the Air Force. I could not join any branch. My father would not allow his only daughter to enter into any military service. I have 4 brothers, he said they were for that. so I joined the Police dept. LOL. Retired early because of cancer. that was 6 yrs. ago. Was in for 25 yrs. One reason why I am so new at growing the greatest plant on earth. I understand PSTD and I feel for you very much. I feel for all who have suffered protecting our great country and appreciate everyone more then words can say. I still don't know what your wife is going through but it doesn't sound very pleasant. Please give her my best and I am interested in knowing but if you and her feel I don't need to know, no problem. We don't know each other, other than through 420. Well, God Bless you all and best wishes. Aloha, sunnyside.

My grandfather was an objector in the 1st world war , so when the 2nd world war happened my dad ran off to join at the age of 14 , unfortunately for him my granddad caught him up and he was same day discharge . my dad didnt speak with him for a long time to come . he wasnt allowed to join up because he had a good trade , so as soon as his apprenticeship was done he finished the job an joined the air force an saw bits that certainly didnt help him he saw some action in Hong Kong . When I was about 5/6 he would tell me the stories of Hong Kong I loved to hear them , still more was to come when I got older he started to tell me the stories of his German tour .
Because he was an M.O. whenever there was a plain crash it was his job to go and pick up the little bits that were left . I worked it all out after some time (years) that he had some kind of PTSD he would have the nightmares almost every night . He once said that he had been executed in every possible way , in his dreams . Unfortunately for him I dropped out and learnt how to smoke pot take acid and many other drugs . He is dead now more than 10 years but I felt my love grow an tears flow when I read your story JTG.
I pray to my Lord may you be well and your wife
loads of blessings Jaga

Well James I would like thank you for the service you gave to this country , It's a small token in comparison to what you had to put up with. I try to tell those in uniform when I see them out & about. Thanks again buddy :thanks:
