1st Time Grower Box Build - 1st Clones And New Grow - Maui Wowie - GDP - LA Kush

Thanks gairbud ......

OK .... it's time for some Bud Porn.

It's day 44 of Flowering. Started the flush phase .... so, it's water only. They seem to have perked up a bit from the flushing I gave them. Hopefully, it's a mild case of overferts. Seems to be at this point.

So here's the girls at day 44

Girls_44_days_flower.JPG

And what internet Porn (although this is Bud Porn) would be complete without an upskirt shot ......

Notice all the tiny little buds on the lower stems. Even after all that defoliation. I couldn't help myself and had to pick a couple to dry out and sample.

Here's the GDP .........

And here's the LA Kush ..... I'll let ya know how they smoke ................

LA_Kush_Sample.JPG

Although the leaves are lookin like crap from too many nutes, it didn't seem to hurt the flowers at all. They even seem to have fatten up a little. Which is good.

Here's the Maui ............

The LA Kush hasn't really changed much since last time. Not going to be much of a producer. I just hope what it there will fatten up a little bit in the next 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, the nutes I gave to the flowering plants are the same nutes I gave to the vegging plants. The vegging plants didn't take kindly to the overloading of nutes. They got kinda droopy and yellowing. But, they are starting to come back. They are back on water only till I see them green up more.

But, the seedlings are doing great. They really love the new clone/seedling area I built. I have a fan in there and it blows them around which is making the stems nice and strong.

The Querkle (TGA Genetics) is doing really well. It is showing it's 3rd set of real leaves and the water leaves are dying back.

Then, we have another 5 pack of seeds my buddy gave me. I'm calling them Kindness of a Friend.

That's about it for now. Watered them today. They were pretty dry. Even though I gave them a good flush a couple days ago, they are drawing in tons of water. I didn't get nearly the same amount of run off I usually get when I give them each a gallon of water.

Very nice update. Those plants look very skunky indeed. Smellavision is needed on 420 :)

I think the LA Kush needs a boost. Did all of the plants have the burning or rust after feeding them on that last feed? The GDP seems to be over shadowed by the other 2 plants. I would think the LA Kush has grown alot. You think the heater is stopping the LA from plumping up a bit? The temp maybe different for that plant since its closest to it. Just a thought I might ask! The grow area is looking really good though. Bad ass set up. :thumb:

Oh nice lighter lol.

I think you are back on track brother:):thumb:
kinda jealous. well.. I am a lot full of envy cause I dont think I spelled the other word right:hmmmm:

Yes you did! :)

Nice update Mutt, seems you have everything running smoothly, your girls and the new babies look great!

Thanks,

But, everything and I mean both good and bad .... are all new to me. So, from one stage to the next, I have no idea what I am doing and just figure it out along the way ..... LOL.

I plan to harvest (depending on trichomes) some time right around New Years. Hope to have some smokeable (lightly cured) buds by February. I want to put some of my first grow away for a deep cure. Something I can pull out somewhere down the road and say ..... try this. It's from my first grow ever. And, it's been curing for xxxxx long .....

I have PTSD and big problems sleeping. I prefer the couch lock effect from my indicas and indica hybrids. They help me sleep and keep me asleep. I'll probably let them go for a bit longer than most would and let more of the trichomes get amberish. After reading lots of journals, it appears that many people harvest earlier. I also read alot about many people prefering the sativa highs to the indica highs. So, I guess I go against the grain a little bit with my preferrences. But, I do like a good sativa for daytime and morning. Deffinitely helps kick any depression and helps you get out of a rut.

Lately I've been smoking on some Chernobyl (Subcool, TGA Genetics) which is a fantastic daytime smoke. It's mellow and doesn't make you paranoid at all. It's also a very good enhansing med to put in with other strains. It seems to add to (in a positive way) any strain you smoke it with. Which, ends up making a nice cocktail during the day. I like to mix strains (after grinding them) to help fend off the building up of strain tolerance. I smoke every day (to medicate) anywhere from 4 to 8 times a day (depending on the day). And, I have found I will become tolerant to any strain if I smoke the same strain every day.

yes sir if I smoke the same stuff overe and over ...it looses its luster:/
glad I have some stuff from my harvest in May and still have some of the Critical Sensie Star to go with the blue moonshine so I dont get bored:). but I dont smoke near as you bro.

Cool .... thanks, I'll check it out.

I've been having problems with my small plants in the veg area. They keep drooping and are yellow. I think it's the light. It might be too much. It's also up in the mid 80's in that area. I think I might need to replace my light fixture with a cool tube. And try actaully sucking the air out instead of letting passive airflow cool it. I'd like to get the temps down to below 80. I notice the dirt in the pots is drying out really fast. I may just turn down my ballast and run it at 75 percent for a while and see how that works.

That sounds like a good idea. Do you have a fan running in there at all? You may need to make a huge vent in the back of the veg room. I did that with my veg/clone cabinet. The size of your whole set up may need an exhaust and intake since you have that clone area right over top of it so its heat on top of heat. Just a thought i figured i will pass by you. And hey thanks alot for nominating me for MOTM! Awesome :thumb:

It's now Day 48 of Flowering. The girls seem to have come through thier little episode with over fertilizing and are doing OK. Not really concerned about the spotty leaves since it's not getting any worse. The GDP is starting to show a littel purple color now. Escpecially in the leaves that got spotty. So, I figure since it getting close to the time when I should start paying attention to my trichomes. I figure it would be a pretty good time to document it a little. And show then every week so we can see how they change.

You can see some of the purple in the GDP.

It's my opinion that the trichomes on these 2 plants are mostly clear. With some of them just starting to turn cloudy/milky. I haven't seen any amber trichs at all. I'd like to hear every else opinion of what stage they think these are in (and in future pics). This is my personal ...... "This is what Trichomes look like when they are ready" self tutorial ..... but I need you guys to guide me here.

yes sir you still got a bit till harvest. really nice pics tho.
I am liking it alot!
and yeah when they start going just a bit amber and all the clear ones are gone (mostly when the clear has gone) she will make you smile:)
