Once you are into flower, you will have a smaller harvest if you top. The earlier the strain, the more you will lose.

So I need to look into training and then maybe bending it down or something?

It seems so lanky should I cut off some of the lower fan leaves? I really learned a lot this first crop definetly should have started nutrients A LOT sooner

Don't cut off anything. To bend a stem, roll it between your thumb and finger, crushing it first where you will bend it. Slowly bend it 90 degrees. Do it slowly, but you may get some breakage. Tape it with masking tape of it breaks.
