Whats up guys,

I have just started growing in my 32” 32” 63” grow tent for the first time. I have been followeing almost all the instructions to germinate seeds and it was successful. 2 days ago I planted my seeds which I bought a year ago from Amsterdam (sensi seeds) but I’m feeling something is wrong as it’s been 2 days now and my seeds haven’t sprouted as planned.

anyway, i’m gonna list out my setup equipments and my techniques so please let me know if I have been doing it wrong:
- 32” 32” 63” grow tent from (VIVOSUN)
- 600w LED full spectrum light (from Phlizon) hanged at 38 inches.
- 2 gallon containers.
- Potting soil from a german company called (Pflanzerde) it is the best I can find here where I live and I didn’t mix it with anything.
- 4-Inch 195 CFM Inline Duct Ventilation Fan and 4-Inch Air Carbon Filter from (VIVOSUN) I haven’t used it yet for seedling.
- 6-Inch Portable Clip-On Fan from (VIVOSUN) shipment still not yet arrived so I’m not using any fan right now.
- Temperature in the grow tent is between 19-24C
- Humidity is between 60-70 sometime dropp to 55 and sometime reaches 74

So after i germinated my seeds I planted them and sprayed them with water and placed them in my grow tent and turned on the lights for 12 hours on and 12 hours off. I’m keeping the soil moist all the time.

I’m attaching photos of my setup and the sprouted seeds. Please let me know if I’m doing it wrong.

Are your plant autoflowers or photoperiods? If they are photoperiods, they should have been started in smaller pots. Only autoflowering plants go directly into their final pot.

You'll find lots of good information for soil growing in Emilya's award winning, just completed journal. Her paper, 'The Proper Way to Water a Potted Plant' is considered a must read for soil growers.

So far looking good mate, those sprouts look as they should.

Now for your light, keep it as high as you can and if it is dimmable, run it at a lower setting for a couple weeks. At this stage, the seedlings don’t need much light and too much can stunt or kill them.

Also, set your light timer to 16hrs light, 8 hrs dark until your plants are ready to flower.

I’m planting photoperiods I thought both are fine with bigger pots. So what should I do know?

Thanks for the advice bro. Can you please check the other 2 plants I just added their photo. Do they look normal?

Leave them now, as you don't want to disturb their roots. They'll take longer to grow, but should survive. Count it as one of the 'lessons learned' from your first grow.

@EddieBoy90,

They are all looking as I would expect for sprouts, and your first picture it is starting it first set of true leaves.

As for having planted directly into your 2 gallon pots, don’t worry about it, it won’t hurt them, but it might slow their above soil growth at first. They will spend much of their energy building roots and then the above soil growth will explode.

The reason for starting in small pots and up-potting is for promoting a better utilization of the soil mass but is not a requirement.

Personally, I start my plants in 1 quart (litre) pots and when ready, up-pot directly into 7 and 11 gallon fabric pots.
