I clipped the big fan leaves also the main shoot vgIt did spit. IDK seems real slow for progression I'm only useing water is there additive I can use in this veg. State? I'm really green on this issue...will the lower leaves branch out. ?

Canna is a really hungry plant. When I want to keep a plant from growing I give it only water (no nutes) and low light levels. Sounds a bit like what you're doing though not intentionally.

Not yet. The growth nodes are still opposite rather than staggered so it is not sexually mature yet.

Have you thought about training it? I'm partial to quadlining (link in my sig).

This area is showing sex. The teardrop shape suggests female. You can give the plant nutrients. Look for plant fertilizer with a picture of a tomato on it and follow directions. Stop clipping leaves off.
