Am I using the right lights?

So I recently started a grow in my closet, I had two plants in there that grew fairly well, I was using a sun sytem 150 watt lighting fixture, the plants grew to a pretty decent size. I cant have that big system in my closet anymore though, so I constructed a grow box, it currently has two fans in it, one blowing out hot air and one bringing in cool air, i installed two of those curly light bulbs, the packaging did read LED on it, will my plants still grow?

The curly light bulbs are CFL's not LED's. Chances are the answer is no. You need around 50 watts per square foot of light.

Using CFL's will be ok if you can get then close to your plants (a few inches). Check ebay - Blue Spectrum CFL's for Veg Growth, Red Spectrum CFL for flowering. They're not gonna grow like they would under MH for veg and HPS for flower but in a closet grow you'd probably set fire to something with such powerful lights. Good luck with the grow
