Im not Canadian and I haven't used it but by reading it looks like a pretty standard ph balanced soil less mix. Bit like coco but ph balanced like soil.

So similar to promix just wondering if amendments I read about for promix would work with this mix?

I'm not sure what they mean by a "starter charge". Sounds like there are some nutes in there. I don't believe pro-mix has any nutes at all.
