Bag Weed Grow 2020

Going for my first ever grow got some bag weed seeds unknown strain from a friend soaked them for 24hrs then planted in black magic soil mixed with some compost from the home depot they sprouted April 28
Room is 41x71x65height
Mars hydro ts 1000 at 16"
2 50cfm exhaust fans
2 fresh air intakes still needs work
Cheap humidifier might get a better one
Temp is 80 highs 70s low
Humidity is 40٪low dosent get much higher have exhaust fans on for 20mins off for 40 mins seems to keep everything in check and they run when lights are off 20/4 light schedule watering with ro water 6.5ph 86ppm haven't received my nutes yet were supposed to be here today but hopefully soon because I think it's time for it?... I transplanted into 3gal pot today had roots coming out the bottom of the solos I'll post some random pictures up till now I'm learning as I go definitely lots to learn

Plants are looking a little better after transplant I think they were getting root bound they are 13 days old since sprouting should I be thinking about giving nutes when it arrives was supposed to be here this past Friday but apparently it's running late... soil is black magic mixed with compost from home depot

I watered one of my plants today the pot was pretty light its been 4 days since last water will probably have to do the other one tomorrow .. I'm trying to make sure it dries out as I think I was overwatering when they were in solo cups i also started using cal-mag extra because it seemed like I should be from what I read. hopefully my nutes show up tomorrow! How are my plants looking ?there 2 weeks

Welcome to 420 Magazine, Nice garden you have there! Remember to mix those nutes weak to start with, 1/4 strength is about right on young plants.

Thanks my nutes never showed up today so now I'm gonna have to go out and buy some if I can find any I'm stressing out because I read that I should be using nutes if I'm using ro to water with

I stripped the 2 lower nodes on one of my girls yesterday and today she looks good to me but time will tell I'll update when I top her this is my first time so I am only gonna quadline one and left the other to grow naturally with a little lst for height issues

Looking good bro! The plant in my journal is a bag seed and I couldn't be happier! I popped 7/7 originally, my mom let 4 die while I was away for a while, then 2 of my last 3 were males, and of course the smallest one was the female lol but I got some pollen off the biggest male. I'll stick around and see how things go with yours bro

You should be fertilizing at least half strength. If you can avoid r/o water then do. I can already see calcium deficiency starting. R/O water has zero minerals and water naturally takes in minerals. I see calcium deficiency in r/o user's all the time. The solution is usually to cut the R/O out or heavily supplement cal/mag. Personally I'd get rid of it. They look good but you are going to start having problems for sure.

I just started using cal-mag xtra last watering for the first time because I did read about the ro water and my regular tap water is through the softener which I think I read that is no good right? Should I be using nutes ? Because they got lost in the mail so now I have to wait till the 27 or go try to find some at a store

Yeah you could probably just start fertilizing.

There should be enough in your soil to feed them for several weeks. The plants are still small and have not grown enough to have used up all of the soil energy in the container. Yes they certainly could benefit from nutes but they are not gonna shrivel up and die right now without them.

Well I topped my plant today, time will tell if I did it right I'm confident I did.. can I clone the topped part? Because I'm trying lol if not I'll toss it.. I think now that I'm using the cal-mag xtra it seems to be helping the plants look better.

Looks good Next time you want to grab a clone when you're topping, just let it grow a little more. That one unfortunately is too small to clone.

Been super busy around the house but the plants are looking good I finally got some nutes but only gave them 1/4 the reccomend dose also got my budget led light!! I think the girls are gonna like it, it's getting pretty hot here in Michigan lately I'm thinking I might have to get a portable ac to keep my room cool if it gets any hotter here

Just a update for anyone interested my plants are a month old from sprouting, I also ended up topping the other one fearing I would have height issues down the road maybe I worry too much lol anyway there both doing pretty good with the lst as far as I can tell.. they seem to be liking that they are finally getting some nutes. I think I'm gonna veg a few more weeks then flip to 12/12 does that seem like a good plan?

Your plants look exceptional! That’s a nice tie down job on a perfect quadline plant. I think your plans for vegging longer are spot on. Your soil mix looks good and it’s obvious you do not overwater. I’d say - you appear to be locked and loaded!

Thanks I've been trying really hard not too kill these plants, I'm trying to learn as much as possible.. but since my last watering which was 2 day ago with 1/4 nutes (second watering with nutes) I believe I am seeing some nute burn so I watered with straight RO to heavy run off to kinda flush the nutes out today as it was only getting worse.. only on the one plant tho so that's a plus
