Best way to mount a can filter and fan in a tent

So I have two tents that will be using a can filter and fan. One is a small 4 inch filter and fan and the other is a big 10" filter and fan. The 4" one is going to be mounted in a small 2x2x4 tent. I am not sure how I should mount this thing to use the tent duct. There is not a lot of room in the tent so I am wondering what other tent users did to solve this problem.

mount them outside on a wall with eye bolts, S hooks, chain/vinyl straps. Or set it outside of the tent on the floor. Y waste floor space? that filter will take up enough space for at least one plant inside of the tent. My first filter for a tent was an odorsok that was mounted over head with that 419/479 CFM fan attached suspended by bungee cords to reduce vibration noise.
