Bud has gone hard and yellow

Hi

Long time reader but this is my first post as this is my first problem that has baffled me

I’m growing RQS skunk XL. All
Has been fine until today (3.5 weeks into flowering) when 3 bud sites have gone hard and yellow, seems all pistols have gone and yellow hard lumps have appeared. I’ll include pics of a bad bud and one of what I claw as a healthy bud. (Hard to get clear Pics thow if I’m honest)

At first I thought heat stress but now im
Not sure. I must add thow this plant has never been the strongest. At first I thought about throwing it out as it was an odd shape from being a seedling but all seems good now so I’m glad I didn’t

Anyway any more info or pics I can get it. Just wondering if you have any ideas what I should do? Leave it? Remove bad flower? Remove entire plant

I suspect that you have this plant under too much light. PLease tell us about your conditions.

Emilya - I have considered this. The plants are under two 600w hps lights on magnetic ballasts Spaced about 14” from the top sites but this plant is stunted and probably 16”+ from the light. And the taller plants have no problems

The temps are

up to 29° in the day time
Down to 18° in night time

Potted in 4 gallon smart pots.
Fed with vitalink bloom at 2ml per L and buddy at 0.8ml per L

that confirms it for me... you are too close... you probably have a lux up near 90k at that distance and 75k or so is max.

I’ve just moved a little further away so I’ll keep you updated.

Would you say the plant being weaker than the rest from seed be the reason this plant only had issues also considering it’s shorter so further from the light ...

check out this chart:

At 1200w of power, even at 20" away you are brighter than the sun... I would suggest 24 or so at the max.
