I'm preparing for my next grow so I've started looking into a good soil recipe in the meantime. The medium I am using in my current grow has not been satisfactory to say the least, it being about 70% mushroom compost/ 20% perlite/ 10% vermiculite, my plants havent seemed to be comfortable since the get go. Anyways you live and learn (hopefully).

What I currently have:
- vermiculite
- perlite
- bonemeal
- dolomite lime
- epsom salt
- coffee grounds
- egg shell grounds (still collecting shells)

I also have a worm casting tea and a comfrey tea for liquid ferts. Worm castings are available so I am definitely wanting to get some as well.

Basically I'm looking for a bit of guidance from you experienced wizards out there on the best way to utilize what I have, any suggestions??n:lot-o-toke:

Crab shell and Norway lobster is not a fungicide or nematocide. It's a great fertilizer with calcium and some extra benefits not found in other fertilizer products.
Lobster and Crab shell is high in chitin, which promotes the growth of chitin eating bacteria. The exoskeletons of fungus and harmful varieties of nematodes eggs are high in chitin. When added to the soil, crab shell helps to create a hostile environment for the fungus and root destroying nematodes by feeding the biological life that eats chitin and chitin based organisms.

The chitin in the crabshell and Norway lobster stimulates soil organisms to secrete enzymes called chitinases. These enzymes degrade chitin, which is a component of flea egg shells. The presence of chitin in the fertilizer makes it a natural biopesticide that is non-toxic to birds, animals, fish, and plants.

Fertilizing your garden with the use of crab meal and lobster meal can be done on its own or combined with the use of other fertilizers.

For the best soil, have a soil sample test done and follow the recommendations from the agricultural test lab. If you want to grow the best in soil having your "Base soil" tested for deficiencies is part of the process.

soil incorporates a control as to the amount assist it may provide on the period of many years, then the item gets depleted. Introducing nitrogen, potassium along with phosphate just is effective temporary, although this isn't plenty of of any increase to make your soil fertile again. In addition, it needs to be enriched along with trace elements.

This is where by soil screening can offer many replies. Dirt screening rule isn't followed for each sort of player. That is best suited for people with backyards and individuals along with scaled-down fields. Dirt quality may differ each and every number of metres as well as each and every number of ft, so it becomes expensive to try your soil connected with large-scale agricultural functions. Many they could do is actually estimate where by depleted earth lay, and include people tried and keep the screening charges affordable.

However when you have a tiny yard, soil screening can be achieved devoid of too much of problems. Dirt screening products might be simply bought at a local yard retail store as well as on the internet.
