Law enforcement personnel raided a Palm Springs home Saturday and seized hundreds of marijuana plants and arrested an occupant who was believed to be using the residence as an illegal indoor marijuana grow, authorities said.

At about 3 p.m., investigators, armed with a search warrant, entered a house in the 1500 block of Amelia Way, according to the Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force.

There they arrested Yong Li, 40, a Los Angeles area resident, and confiscated 390 marijuana plants and $1,200.

Li is being detained in the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, according to the CVNTF, on suspicion of illegal marijuana cultivation.

Investigators said Southern California Edison was called to the house as well. Someone had illegally bypassed the electrical power and created a hazard.
