i trim alot of the bottom branches off that dont get hit by alot of light so the root ball can send all the energey to the tops insted of trying to distribute it to the bottoms that dont really feel out anyway because of the lack of light
I've heard of that (called lollipopping) where you basically trim off the bottom branches so the plant focuses all it's energy towards the main cola. Never heard anything about it on this site, though. Is it a widely recognized/recommended method?
A lot of the growers on this site do not recommend lollipopping. Those large fan leaves from the bottom of the plant do not have thc that you could extract with bubble bags. Those large fan leaves are there for other purposes, like sending energy else where to make large buds. IMO they should only be trimmed when they've turned yellow or died.
