Chlorine vapor from humidifiers?

I know that you want to sit water out for a day or two if you are watering your plants with it, in order to let the chlorine evaporate out. Now, do you want to do that with the water in your humidifier as well? Or will the chlorine vapor be safe and not be absorbed by the plant?

I am on well water so I don't have chlorine...but the leaves will absorb the same as the roots if you are misting them...so if you don't want chlorine, then let it rest same way.
