Did I cook my seed?

After soaking my auto seed for 18 hours I put it inbetween damp paper towels on a saucer, I added some water before I went to bed last night and put it on top of our stand up deep freezer because it was warm up there, well when I checked on it this morning the papertowel was absolutely dry!
I rewet the papertowel and hoped for the best.
Now this afternoon I just checked and the papertowel was almost dry again, I checked the top of the deep freezer and it was a lot warmer than it was before so I moved the saucer away from it.
I sure hope I didn't cook the little bean!

:(

Put the paper towel in a little baggie, that'll keep it from drying out.
You may be ok if there wasn't a taproot sticking out of the seed when it dried out, but time will tell...

No tap root yet, I just started it on the plate yesterday, hopefully it's ok, that papertowel was dried right out!
