DIY 600w vented hood

Having trouble removing the heat from the 600w MH and HPS, so I decided to try my hand at metal shop.

I made a hood that has a 4 inch vent hole on the top. And a cover on the inside to shield the vent and reflect light back down. Took about 3 hours to fabricate. It's slightly larger than the original reflector that came with the kit. All that is left to do is make the hole for the mogul socket.

What's it made of, trim coil (for aluminum siding/cladding)? Looks good, may have to do something similar for my CFL hood.

OG, good guess. 24" x 25' roll I have been using it for some solar projects also. It's easy to work with.
It seems to be working good at drawing out the heat. I'm not sure if I got the reflective angles right, but I followed the shape of the hood that came with the light kit. Just made it a little bigger.

although I have a fan at the far end of the duct venting out through a window, I added a inline fan to the hood to suck more heat out.

Can be easily turned around to bring colder air in
