Dunking flowers

So I know I’ve seen this on the forum before. Was wondering if I could get some direct advice being as I can’t find the thread that I was reading before. I see that dunking your flowers to wash after harvest using the 3 5 gal bucket technique is effective.

Just curious as to this process as far as timing goes. This is right after you harvest? Cut the branches down and soak for a few min in each bucket? Can you soak flowers that have been dryingfor 2 days? This washes caterpillars off as well right? We used little to no this year on our acre cbd grow. I know crazy right lol sometimes if you farm your fields correctly, nutrients aren’t actually needed after transplant! So it’s not as much a nutrient wash as it is to clean dirty buds off that’s have been in mud for a day or to rid the buds of pests post harvest so they don’t end up in our room!!

I see there are mixed reviews on this but some seem to live by it. Just wondering about the timing of it all.

Long post sorry thanks again group
