Make sure you simmer the molasses in a pot of water to get the sugar in the molasses going. Plants will uptake the sugar and nutrients in molasses more when its heated.

Simmer for how long? Do I let it cool down then to room temp or just until it's warm as opposed to hot? Should I add this two weeks prior to harvest or well before?
Just let it get warm. You dont have to let it cool. Once adding it back into the gallon of water with the rest of the solution it will be a good temp any way. But you feed molasses threw veg till flush.
I USE DEX4 WHICH IS PURE GLUCOSE. THATS WHAT THE PLANT TURNS MOLASSAS INTO. GLUCOSE IS A REFINED FORM OF SUCROSE THAT HAS A HIGHER AND PURER RATE IN WHICH IT'S METABOLIZED. IT IS THE ONLY AND FASTEST ACTING SUCROSE AVAIABLE TO DIABETICS. OF WHOM IF EXPERIENCING A LOW SUGAR ATTACK ( WHICH ESSENTIALLY PUTS THEM IN A COMA QUICKLY) WILL TAKE A FEW TABLETS AND RESTORE THE BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS. PLANTS SYNTHESIS SUGARS SIMILAR TO THE WAY WE DO. aND AS FAR AS WHEN TO GIVE A CARB LOAD I WOULD START IN THE 4TH WEEK OF FLOWER. THATS WHAT i DO AND MY GIRLS LOOK AS IF THEY WERE DROPPED IN GLITTER. WELL AT LEAST 1 OF THE MANY TRICHOME INHANCING METHODS I USE.
